Economic Models of Climate Change: A Critique (2003)ΒΆ

[DeCanio2003Economic]S. J. DeCanio. Economic Models of Climate Change: A Critique. Palgrave Macmillan, October 2003.

Thanks to Brett Parris for the recommendation for this one.

DeCanio’a book is a multi-barrelled attack on the appropriateness of computational general equilibrium techniques for dealing with large scale systemic predictions, as they are employed in climate models. I’m using it a refresher for my long-dormant macroeconomic studies and an overview of some of the current issues in economic forecasting that I’m hoping can be addressed by alternate simulation approaches.
